After years of waiting and what feels like a lifetime of rumors, Tesla Semi is finally available for order. In an email sent to customers on Wednesday evening, the company announced that reservations for the electric truck are now open. The Semi delivers up to 500 miles per charge and can haul 80,000 pounds at 80 mph speeds. It's capable of powering two million pounds of cargo in a line-haul from Los Angeles to New York City overnight with no stops, according to Musk.

Tesla is currently taking reservations for the Semi and its pricing structure is currently as follows: $5,000 upfront payment, followed by a fully refundable $20,000 deposit. The final amount of your reservation will depend on when your order is placed; if it's before November 16th, 2019 then the total price will be

$100,000, whereas after that you can expect to pay $150,000.

The Tesla semi-truck is one of the safest, most comfortable trucks made ever. It has zero emissions and a 500-mile range, with Supercharger and solar-powered charging options. The Tesla Semi does 0-60 in 5 seconds, with Grade Punching, Auto-Steering, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and more. Vehicle pricing is listed below, along with a reservation payment that allows preorder of your Tesla Semi now.

Tesla is currently offering buyers the opportunity to reserve a Model X for $5,000, excluding tax, license, and registration fees. Details about delivery times, price differences from the base Model X, and other additional fees have not been released at this time but can be found on the manufacturer’s website.

Tesla Semi reservations are considered confirmed for the price you have reserved when your order is placed. Your order timing may depend on development, manufacturing, and production schedules, among other factors.

Your Reservation will remain pending until we have received your reservation payment.

The famous CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, announced that deliveries are expected to start sometime in 2023. However, we don’t know exactly when. During the recent Cyber Rodeo event in Texas, Musk was quoted as saying "We’re up against some challenges with the Semi so we’re going to try and do that as soon as possible," adding "I feel very confident about our ability to produce thousands of electric trucks a year."

Producing Cybertruck is a top priority for Tesla and our manufacturing team is on track to start production next year. In addition, we have scaled up production of Roadster and Semi, which are both coming sooner than anticipated. A new model has also been added to our lineup for 2020, which will be unveiled in the coming months.
